What mistakes should you avoid?
Setting the minimum to 1. "1 person is viewing" (the visitor themselves) is worse than nothing.
Using a very long activity window, which inflates the number and stops it feeling live.
Showing it on low-traffic pages; use page targeting to keep it where traffic is real.

Live visitor counter questions
Is the live visitor count real?
Yes. The app counts distinct visitors recorded by your campaign's pixel within the activity window you set. It is not a random number generator.
What does "minimum activity" do?
It hides the counter until at least that many visitors are present. Set it to a number that is genuinely encouraging for your traffic, for example 5 or 10, so the widget never shows a lonely "1 visitor".
Can it count only the current page?
Yes. Switch the scope from the whole site to the current page and it counts visitors on the same path.
How long is a visitor counted as live?
You choose the window in minutes. Shorter windows (3 to 10 minutes) feel more honest and responsive.
Does the counter include bots?
It counts what the pixel records in browsers, which excludes most server-side crawlers that do not run JavaScript. Some headless bots may still run scripts, which is another reason to set a sensible minimum.
Can I change the wording?
Yes. Write any sentence and put {COUNTER} where the number should go, and add translations for other languages.
Will it work with page caching or a CDN?
Yes. The count is fetched by the pixel in the browser, so cached HTML is not a problem.
Which plan includes the live visitor counter?
